Elegance, sensuality, subtlety and intensity emerge from this perfume inspired by an oriental fairy tale. Centuries ago, Emperor Shah Jahan fell madly in love with Princess Mumtaz Mahal and built the enchanting gardens of Shalimar for her. This great story inspired Jacques Guerlain to create Shalimar, the first oriental fragrance.
The citrusy top note of the Eau de Parfum contains mandarin, cedar, bergamot and lemon, combined with a heart of iris, patchouli, jasmine, vetiver and rose. Guerlain Shalimar has a base composed of leather, sandalwood, ginseng, musk, civet, vanilla, incense and tonkaboo.
